Power Lines

There's not much of a story behind this photograph. I tried going back to a barber shop from my childhood and picked the wrong barber. I hated the way he trimmed my hair but apparently he doesn't know how to deal with longer hair, just the country buzz cuts he deals with all day. I was a little upset so I took a long way home and passed by this sight of power lines receding into the wooded area on the other end of this field under a beautifully partly-clouded sky where the sun was setting slowly. The first people to see my poorly cut hair were the passersby staring my camera and me down.

Photographed with my beautiful Mamiya RZ67 Pro II with a 110mm lens on T-Max 400 speed film and printed on Ilford silver gelatin paper at 8x10 inches then scanned for digital archiving. I did my best to clear the dust from the scan. This was the first time I got to use a holder with a big enough frame to allow the black lines from the clear part of the film around the image. I love the result from the holder but I'm disappointed with the darkness of the grass. I wish I had developed for less contrast on the film.
